Police have encountered two criminals in Faridkot, Punjab. After the encounter, two criminals of Lawrence Bishnoi and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang, who were riding in a Scorpio, have been arrested. These two accused have been identified as Surendra Singh alias Gagni and Lakhwinder Singh alias Lakkhu, residents of Ambedkar Nagar, Jaito. Police have recovered a 32 bore pistol and cartridges from these two criminals.

Both the criminals fired at the police

According to the information received, the team of CIA Staff Jaito had blocked the road near the drain bridge of village Chandbhan on Bathinda Road. During this, a Scorpio car coming from Bathinda was also signaled to stop, but the people sitting in the car did not stop and opened fire on the police. After this, the bullet hit the barricades. After this, the police arrested both the accused. During the action, Surendra alias Gagni got shot in the leg. In such a situation, he has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital for treatment. After getting the information, SSP Dr. Pragya Jain and other police officers also reached the spot. They took stock of the situation.

Strict action is being taken against the accused

Giving information about the whole case, SSP Dr. Pragya Jain said that the district police is taking strict action on this. Under this, the elements are also being monitored. She said that out of the two accused arrested after the encounter, Surendra Singh alias Gagni has already been booked under Arms and NDPS Act, however further action will be taken only after further interrogation.
